Knowledge of Server 2003
Security design and implementation skills are increasingly in demand - take your knowledge of IT security and Windows operating systems to the next level by preparing for the Microsoft security and administration design exams (70-298 and 70-299). The curriculum covers exam-specific topics with in-class hands-on exercises. Even if you are not concerned with certification, this course will give you advanced knowledge that will help you secure Microsoft operating systems and appropriately design, implement, and troubleshoot security settings. This course provides an intense one-week hands-on study for designing, planning, and implementing security on Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP. The course will consist of lecture and multimedia presentations, hands-on computer exercises, and practice exams. If you already have a Windows 2000 or Windows Server 2003 MCSE and have also passed the CompTIA Security+ exam, this course covers what you need to obtain MCSE: Security credential. The MCSE: Security certification demonstrates security-specific skills appropriate for systems engineers, administrators, and consultants. If you do not have an MCSE certification, you will require advanced system administration or support knowledge for Windows 2000 or later operating systems in order to be successful in this course.
